    Usually, the vacuum which is generated by the internal combustion engine is used by the brake booster, through the tube, in order to create breaking power. An electric vacuum pump avoids such a condition by creating additional vacuum pressure going to the brake booster and hence increase the road safety of the vehicle as well. With the incorporation of vacuum sensors, automotive electric vacuum pumps are now also capable of monitoring vacuum changes within the booster. Apart from this, these EVPs also provide various benefits to the vehicle engine by keeping it functioning for the longer time spans and increasing the life of the motor. The prevention of improper braking, even in the unfavorable conditions reduces excessive CO2 emission and hence saves the fuel, hence, improving the efficiency of the vehicle.
