Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd Unleashes New 5G Products and Solutions

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd (Huawei) released its new 5G products and solutions and launched the 5G Partner Innovation Program at the Huawei product and solution launch held in London. President of Huawei’s Carrier BG and Executive director of the board Ryan Ding conveyed a keynote termed “5G, Bring New Value.” According to Ding, so far, the company has been granted 91 commercial 5G contracts and has dispatched more than 600,000 5G Massive MIMO Active Antenna Units (AAUs).

Huawei, as a global 5G supplier, is dedicated to developing quality end-to-end 5G solutions. These solutions will involve the industry’s highest-performance 5G base station that assists all scenarios and the Blade AAU with the maximum level of integration. In addition, the Blade AAU can operate with all sub-6 GHz frequency bands and support 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks. This deals with the problem of limited space for antenna installation and decreases the total cost of ownership (TCO) by over 30% in comparison with existing solutions. Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd is the first seller in the industry to offer industrial 5G modules for vertical applications.

With 5G enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) maturing, high-definition video services will boost the huge growth of 5G B2C services. Huawei and several operators have jointly released 5G white papers and inspected B2B applications for boosting 5G applications in several industries. At the launch event, Ryan Ding displayed the company’s newly-released live broadcast backpack to the audience. This backpack is implanted with a 5G module and makes live broadcasting a lot easier.

Huawei and its worldwide partners have worked together on numerous 5G projects, covering many domains including education, healthcare, new media, and campus. Through the 5G Partner Innovation Program, the company aims to invest USD 20 million into innovative 5G applications in the coming 5 years, thereby contributing to the 5G ecosystem and fast-tracking the commercial success of 5G.
